2017 Athletics Reflection

2017 Athletics Reflection

Write your reflection on your participation, effort and performance in the 2017 Athletics competitions.

You could reflect on these questions.
  1. How well did I use a growth mindset to stay positive when the competition got tough?
  2. Did I manage to achieve my athletics goals and why/why not?
  3. In what ways did I represent my House well in the competition?
  4. What did I do well and how do I know?
  5. What was challenging and how do I know?
  6. What am I most proud of and why?

Start your writing here:

On Tuesday the 25th of October the Kauri Team did athletics and we did 5 events and then to finish up we did class and house relays. I used a growth mindset by not giving up, because while I was helping run the long jump it was hard because I needed to keep a close eye on where the people put put there feet. I achieved my goal because I offered to help run long jump and I got chosen to run it. I represented my house well because I cheered for Kowhai house on the house relays. Something I did well was help Miss Berquist with Long Jump, how I know I achieved my goal is because at the end Miss Berquist said that I did really well and thanked me for my help. Something that was challenging was keeping a close eye on where they placed their feet and then I put the measuring tape where there toes left the mat. Something that I am proud of is Kowhai winning the house relays. Everyone thought that Miro was going to win because they had all of the fast people, but then at the end Sam I ran twice because someone else from there group didn’t run, so he ran twice and then the last person that was in Kowhai ran really fast and then bet him.
